This is Deadvlei in Namibia :

These trees are believed to have died 600–700 years ago (1340-1430 CE), scorched so intensely in the sun that the wood does not decompose because it is so dry.

Deadvlei is a white clay pan located near the more famous salt pan of Sossusvlei, inside

Walking across Deadvlei and seeing it in person was a surreal experience for me. Seeing 1000 year old dead trees in the middle of the desert in between bright orange dunes, one word, mind-blowing.
Namibia 🇳🇦 should be on everyone’s travel bucket list at this point 🤯

If it wasn’t for the petrified camel-thorn trees and the burning orange dunes, this stark landscape could double for the surface of the moon. Deadvlei is folded into Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft Park and the white clay pan, likely formed more than 1,000 years ago, is fringed by some

Deadvlei в пустыне Namib

In Deadvlei, frost-kissed trees stand on a white clay pan amid red sand dunes, creating a mesmerizing scene in Namibia's 🇳🇦 Namib-Naukluft National Park.
