On 14 March 2024 , Denise Schemel, Master Trainer and Deputy Science Director for Kimberley celebrated Pi day with Grade R to Grade 09 learners from 11 schools around Douglas playing fun mathematics games.

Kimberley RSFD hosted learners workshop at William Pescod School where about 30 learners from Emmanuel SS, Progress PS and Emmang Mmogo attended.
Learners were guided through the steps of scientific methods in order to know how to come up with an idea

KBY Region hosted an Expo Workshop to brainstorm project ideas during their weekly Thursday Science Club sessions. attended by 49 learners in grades 7 to 10 from the following schools (Bongani, Riverside, Weslaan, Douglas, Vaal Oranje and Douglas PS.

The region hosted the R&I at Sol Plaatje University and it was Facilitated by RSFD and PC.
The main aim was to have one on one assistance with the learners to improve their research methodologies on their existing projects.
