Today an Incident Management Team (IMT) has assumed command of the Kookipi Creek wildfire (V11337). The wildfire is estimated to be 14,425 hectares, the IMT will be managing resources and ongoing operations out of District of Hope, while a fire camp is being setup in Boston Bar.

Derry's hosting a 'District of Hope' event at the Guildhall this Saturday from 1pm to 5pm .
