DDX 3111 is a brilliant collection of photos submitted to the local censor during World War 2. One of the most surprising secrets is that pictures of the top of Blackpool Tower had to be cropped to help hide the radar station which had been added.

⚓️It's 1689 when Alice Thornton writes this letter to her cousin, Lord Danby. He has helped get her son, Robert, on a ship to Spain and she thanks him for 'putting him... so far away'. Robert was much in debt at the time. This fascinating record is at BL Modern Manuscripts
