2,543 km2 ICIMOD. The glacier melting has resulted 1,942 glacier lakes in Afg. Further warming & heatwaves increase the risk of glacier lake outburst floods (GLOF) in the region. In Afg 4% of population are exposed to GLOF.

I don’t have data to back up but people here have observed that the temperatures in summers are unusually high. They’ve also observed disturbances in some recurring natural events. They’ve also observed that GLOF events have frequented after 2010.
