G-Police is already an awesome game, but y'know what makes it even more amazing? Its own Peter Chung (of Aeon Flux fame) directed animated commercial.

Just look at the proud Psygnosis owl at the start. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Getting a glimpse of computer and video games on UK TV as a kid in the days before GamesMaster and Bad Influence was always a treat.

This clip from 1988 of Konami's Hypersports comes from 'First Class' a quiz show that aired on the BBC.

3... 2... 1 ... GO!

For the very first time in 1995! Bad Influence gives Wipeout on PSX the review scrutiny.

Always very cool to see it with its at-the-time hype.

SEGA challenges you with the ULTIMATE VIDEO GAME! (Singular, not plural. The ULTIMATE VG)

A fittingly bombastic North American commercial for Sega's 8-bit wonderslab.

Bad Influence, 1994. Late SNES classic Donkey Kong Country gets the review treatment from Violet and the gang - will this bridge between 16 and 32-bit dazzle as much as hoped?

Difference Rules... The Third Place.

A commercial I always thought was the handiwork of auteur David Lynch, but I've since read is one of several misattributed to him.

According to Lynch's own biography, only 'Welcome the Third Place' was directed by him.

A glimpse of console modding and clone consoles of the early 90s with one of the coolest looking clones - The Scorpion.

It's a bit weird how it was expected that a retailer would crack open a cart to slot the PCB into the console.

Poor lass, just trying to get down to 7-11 to pick up the next hot PS1 game.

The action RPG where you battle nightmares! And still to this day one of my favourite Zelda-alike ARPGs.

Who wants to see Cat from Red Dwarf play Wipeout 2097? Well, that's what we're gonna see in this clip from 90s GamesMaster's sixth season. He's gotta fish for first place; will he do it or will he come dead (everyone's dead, Dave) last?
