I was busy with a @GreatFen #GreatCrestedNewt #survey today. I had delightful surprise on returning to the car park. This big #moth was just sat there and a closer look revealed it was a #RedUnderwing . Let's hope the warming weather bring a few more out in the coming days.

Habitat management at the @GreatFen has resulted in this year's #amphibian surveys revealing more evidence of breeding success. In just one sample, five much smaller juveniles accompany three large #GreatCrestedNewt males (top left and middle) and one female (bottom right).
