I just voted, NO on HB1177 handgun training for teachers. Teachers only job should be to teach! The General Assembly should invest in funding for more school resource officers. Our teachers are not security officers. Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA) AFT INDIANA

It is stated 5 times in HB1177 that helping school employees acquire specialized firearms instruction increases school safety.

There is NO evidence that allowing armed staff in K–12 schools increases school safety!

Great things at the Good Sam hearing:
⭐️ If I gave Rep Epps a cupcake & she went into diabetic shock I would call 911. OD shouldn’t be different.
⭐️ I don’t use drugs because I don’t like them, not because I’m afraid.
⭐️ Q: will kids use more if they aren’t afraid? A: No

Should Virginia Governor Youngkin veto SB606 and HB1177? Those bills require the state to pay thousands in annual dues to an organization that is supposed to clean up voter rolls but also requires postcards be sent to unregistered residents.
