AWC ecologists have been monitoring Bush Rat & Brown Antechinus populations Harbour Trust's North Head for 5 years, so we're thrilled to announce that the total captures for each species in 2022 were the highest they've been since reintroductions began!

Odd digital experience at George's Heights park using the Harbour Trust poster and QR code promising information on the tunnels. Instead I was asked to fill out a survey, then asked my thoughts on the title of an artwork I've never heard of, and then asked if I was hungry. 😐
First reintroduced small mammal surveys of 2023 at Harbour Trust's North Head (NSW) ✔️
Results were positive - with 105 Bush Rats and 3 Brown Antechinus, and only 2 invasive Black Rats caught across the week.
