The Initiative for Open Abstracts is a sister to I4OC. I4OA requests scholarly publishers to make abstracts openly available by depositing them to Crossref | @[email protected]. My head librarian asked about the level of participation in I4OC. Found that more than 1,000 publishers make references open with #crossref , but many don't participate, yet (including Elsevier, IEEE)
