Today, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s colors passed from Admiral Aquilino to Admiral Paparo.

Admiral Paparo is exactly the right leader to help us meet the evolving security challenges of our priority theater.

It seems we should prioritize the 🇨🇳 threat in the Pacific.

Maybe INDOPACOM, Taiwan and the Philippines (combined) deserved more than 3% of the 95 billion dollar national security package.

Taiwan got $1.9B…

Fair winds and following seas to Adm. John Aquilino, retiring from the U.S. Navy after 40 years of service and changing command of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command to Adm. Samuel Paparo, who will continue the U.S.'s work to ensure a #FreeandopenIndoPacific region alongside our partners and allies.

You can see that the majority of the funding in DoD accounts ($3,295,242,000) goes to the US Submarine Industrial Base. Of the rest:

$132,600,000 is for Defense Production Act Purchases

$1.9b is for Taiwan drawdown replacement

$542,400,000 is for INDOPACOM's FY24 UPL
