Almost 2% of the population are intersex: they have natural variations which mean they do not fit into binary notions of sex. #IntersexAwarenessDay

Today we celebrated #IntersexAwarenessDay by raising the Intersex flag on Parliament Hill.

It now flies just beneath the Pride flag, the Trans flag, the BLM flag, the Ukrainian flag, and the Palestinian flag.

Pretty soon we're going to need a bigger flagpole.
