4. Karukku - Bama ( Translated by Lakshmi Holmström)

The first Dalit-woman writer autobiography appeared in 1992 in Tamil (English translation, 2000). Karukku recounted the caste oppression of Dalit Christians in the Catholic Church incl in the seminary. I have the second edition that includes the author's preface. Read the times.
