I talked about witnessing a member of Hamilton's #LGTBQ2SI community being assaulted by white nationalists & hate preachers.

I told my colleagues about watching in shock as the police arrested the victim.

Yesterday I started my day listening to Depeche Mode’s song “people are people “. As I listened thinking of the many recent news stories about legislation passed that is anti LGTBQ2SI., misogynistic and anti human rights I thought “Where did the spirit of love thy neighbor go?”

When I say a Pierre Poilievre is a threat to women, Indigenous people, LGTBQ2SI+ people and people of colour, I’m not being hyperbolic. They want to wipe us out and pretend we don’t exist. The next election is existential. #canpoli #cdnpoli #ableg

Eric Girt, himself, has used derogatory and offensive language when talking about LGTBQ2SI folks.

This is an issue of systemic corruption and discrimination in the Hamilton Police Service.
