In the afternoon we visited Hugh Rowlands 'The Squirrel Whisperer' at Llangefni, who was featured on Springwatch last year.

The work he does to protect Red Squirrels is amazing, and anyone who gets a chance to support his work should do so.

Back from a long weekend in North Wales, mostly Anglesey. Good to catch up with a few old favourites on my first visit since 2021 and a successful first try for Red Squirrel at Llangefni.

📆Sir John Kyffin Williams was born on 9 May, 1918 in Llangefni, Anglesey.

On display at the National Waterfront Museum are these two slate sculptures by the artist.

The materials for these were collected by the artist for years. They were on display at his home in Pwllfanogl.

My folks pinged me pics of their moth catch last last night - 2 Dark Sword Grass near Llangefni, Anglesey but on closer inspection their Red Sword Grass is a Sword Grass! Absolutely insane! When was the last Welsh record? Immigrant or undiscovered relict population?? #MothsMatter
