Today we walked section 2 of the London LOOP from Bexley to Petts Wood. New discoveries this time round include the walled garden at Sidcup Place and a large bear in Scadbury Park. The bear is part of the Chislehurst Bear Trail - another walk to investigate

Spent day one of my first full week of retirement on a very hot walk - section 5 of the London LOOP taking in Riddlesdown, Kenley Common, Happy Valley and Farthing Downs. Also a chance to test out the new boots bought with part of my leaving present from work.

My contribution to today's walking: Kingston to Crane Park - including one signpost that I did not follow, for obvious reasons and an obligatory shot tower shot

As we were walking London to Brighton, we did part of the . I had to ask someone if we had crossed the M25 yet as I was so surprised how green and peaceful the area was. Iโ€™ll definitely be back to do more!

Walked today from Erith to Bexley along the rivers Thames, Darent and Cray. This is section 1 of the London LOOP, which we're undertaking for the second time. Older and stiffer this time round, but there is now the bonus of free travel.
