I could shout this message from the rooftops! A consumerist anthropology will be the death of higher education especially Christian Higher Ed. I am not in the job training business. I am in the people formation business.

I would disagree. Ethos (one of Aristotleโ€™s three proofs in persuasion) is source credibility. To remove that credibility or lack thereof from a source to only focus on the content is dangerous. We can avoid ad hominem but we cannot ignore ethos. It is too valuable.

I am heartbroken. Chris was my editor and managed my book project from start to end. I loved working with him and all his encouragement. My condolences to his family and the Wipf and Stock Publishers community.

Michael Wear Dr. Joy Qualls Curious but not surprising. As clergy in a 'progressive' demonination, I've experienced that comment from non-creedal christians: Christ as human & divine. Too theologically abstract for them to consider.

Dr. Joy Qualls Beth Moore Mine did, too! She was at FBC Houston and I still have a book she treasured, signed to her from Beth. She wouldโ€™ve loved this one so much!
