When the US had 70 to 90% #MarginalTaxRate we pulled out of a depression, fought a world war, built the Interstate Highway System and went to the Moon.

The #MarginalTaxRate is nothing new. For much of modern history, the rate has been between 70-92%.

With wealth inequality at an all time high, this is a necessary tool to lift millions out of poverty, fund #MedicareForAll , a #GreenNewDeal , and cancel student debt.

Instead of debating a #MarginalTaxRate on the 1%, as most Americans support, the right pretends we're proposing a 70%+ tax on all income. That's simply not true.

If you make $10,000,001 a year, a 70% rate only applies to the last $1, totaling 70 cents.
