Great working with #BPHI displaying their leadership role as an #NPHI at the brainstorming session for Botswana's EOI to World Bank Pandemic Fund, with @MoHWBotswana, WHO Botswana. Center for Global Health Practice and Impact, Georgetown Global Health Nigeria will continue work with NPHIs to strengthen them as Health Security leaders.

Global health security can only be assured by local health protection. It is heartwarming to see plans for and many #NPHIs coming on stream in countries. It is key to remember, this is a journey and each country will have to figure out the NPHI version that best works for them.

With integrated genomic surveillance, outbreak detection and enhanced data sharing, we are empowering #NPHIs and safeguarding public health across the continent.

#ClimateChange is being discussed at the 2024 #IANPHI Annual Meeting! National Public Health Institutes are exchanging ideas on the key role of NPHIs in climate adaptation and mitigation and how they contribute to climate policies, research, and actions.

Grateful for our partnership with UK Health Security Agency whose support in areas of strategy development, laboratory diagnostics, chemical events, etc has been invaluable.

National Public Health Institutes #NPHI s are essential in coordinating and strengthening health security efforts across the continent. To accelerate the functionality and establishment of #NPHI networks, it is important to identify actions needed and share experiences.

I enjoyed speaking at this ZIG-talk with Robert Koch-Institut on the importance of #NPHI s and the journey of the NCDC as Nigeria’s #NPHI .
