Finished 1st BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland #NewYearFlowerHunt of day. Littlehampton-Climping. Saw 7 flowering plants. I'm 15mins into 2nd, Goring to Worthing. Doing pan-species listing whilst doing flower hunt. Saw 45 species inc. lichens, brtophytes, ferns, birds, & anigosperms not in flower.
On 01.01.24 on a BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland #NewYearFlowerHunt I spotted a Daphne laureola in Goring in West Sussex. It had buds but was not in flower. I made a note to go back in a few weeks to see what it's flowers are like. I went back today. Pleased I did. Gorgeous. Sussex Botanical Recording Society

Following on from the BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland #NewYearFlowerHunt , at FriendsMeetingHouse Children's Meeting today we learnt about threats to plants and we drew & dissected some winter-flowering plants, with hand lenses and dissecting tools, to learn about plant reproduction. Plantlife
