While booking my vaccine appointment I was asked to provide a letter of 'proof' that I have an autoimmune disorder.

This creates so many barriers for folks who don't have access to dx, are in the process of getting dx, or don't have a care provider.

People with disabilities are much more vulnerable to COVID-19, but many states, including California, have failed to prioritize them for vaccines as they focus mainly on people 65 and older. 'Young high-risk people exist,' says activist Alice Wong 王美華. bit.ly/3q9upgc

I have a probable staph infection that I can't get treated because public health leaders made it unsafe to enter healthcare facilities.

I'm left with deciding to:
A. Obtain mutual aid antibiotics & self-treat (not wise) or
B. Enter a facility where people are maskless (not wise)

Most disabled/chronically ill people I know have 4 or more comorbidities, that's just how chronic illness and chronic conditions go.

I’m so exhausted going into the third year of a pandemic that I can’t say much else besides fuck the director of the CDC. I’m so tired and heartbroken.

And even if you can afford to buy a test, you don’t have to stay at home if you test positive. Disabled people are being totally abandoned. No masks, no nothing. 114 deaths today.
