Perhaps it's linked to the average £80000 loss in earnings for teachers since 2010.

Ironically citing critically low school budgets Govt looks set to back 1-2% real terms pay cut for teachers. So National Education Union will begin an indicative ballot on 2 March, asking members to back strike action over school funding & pay #InvestInEducation #PayUp24
