For Public Education Day here are my top 3 things I loved about public school:
🌟the diversity of my peers which taught me inclusivity
🌟focussed learning without unnecessary religious influence
🌟a quality education that wasn’t based on my family’s income

That little girl on the right knew from day one of kindergarten that she wanted to be a teacher. I think she’d be pretty stoked with how things turned out 🙂🍎 #ProudToBePublic Happy Public Education Day
#proudtobepublic My Kindergarten photo West Goulburn PS. Proud to be in my 26th year of working as a teacher/Principal for NSW Dept of Education 😊
This happy little seven-year-old (circa 1993) is 100% #proudtobepublic because of my teachers, my friends and the opportunities my public schools gave me. Public schools are among the greatest achievements of this country. They need funding, support and celebration.
From primary school to high school to law school to P&C mum, I've always been #ProudtobePublic . I feel immensely privileged to have been educated at Fort Street High School, right here in the inner west, the first-ever government high school in Australia.
Spent my whole life #ProudtobePublic , educated in public schools & taught in them my entire career! Academic programs, opportunities to represent in sport, arts, public speaking & the obligatory social shenanigans all a feature! Thanks Carlingford PS & Cumberland HS, you rocked!
I’m a proud product of the public school system. At Mannum Primary and High School I learned a love of reading, writing and sport, and where there were just 5 of us in the Yr 12 economics class! #ProudToBePublic
No uniform for me but I was at school this day and smiling up real proud.

I've spent most of my life in public schools. My perspective from primary to high school isn't one of privilege, first in my immediate family to go to University, and I've dedicated my teaching career of over 20 years to teaching in the public school system. #Proudtobepublic
I'm clearly not thrilled to be the tall girl in the back row at Armidale City Public, but loved that school, and Mr Miller is my all-time favourite teacher. #ProudtoBePublic then, now just two units away from graduating to be a public school teacher. Support public education!
This is me at the time of my first public school, in a tartan dress made by mum.
I went to Rydalmere, Warrawee, North Sydney, Como and South Perth primary schools plus Applecross, Mount Lawley and Scarborough high schools.
Happy public school day everyone.

It’s Public Education Day!
This is me (3rd from right second row) Noble Primary Bellshill, Scotland late 1950’s.
Properly funded public education and well paid teachers essential to working class opportunity, a strong economy and more importantly a good society.

Proud of my all public school education: Mooroopna Primary School, Mooroopna Secondary College (now closed), Bellarine Secondary College. We need to properly fund public education and pay teachers more. #ProudToBePublic
It's Public Education Day!
I've worked in independent, private and State schools. I can say with some confidence, that State schools are truly GREAT schools. I'm proud to be a part of helping great public school learners begin their journeys.
