Danny Kruger chairs the 'Dying Well All Party Parliamentary Group' - who are attempting to block change on assisted dying in the UK.

Danny’s belief that women don’t ‘have an absolute right to bodily autonomy’ also extends to dying people.

Assisted dying should only be for those who have a terminal diagnosis. After watching my mum and Nan wither away with terminal bowel cancel - assisted dying would have been a relief for them rather than waiting for the painful inevitable.

I probably shouldn't read any tweets about my blood may boil, anyone against assisted death Dignity in Dying obviously hasn't experienced how people are 'legally allowed' to die in this country, or a relative with a degenerative condition

'I will not stand in your way if that is what you choose and it is legal.' Danny Kruger conceding that even he would not stand in the way of his mother's decision about the end of her life. It has always been about choice. A choice we should all have.

Interesting debate on assisted dying on c4 tonight. My own view (unchanged by the prog) is AD should be available for those who are terminally ill. I do see the possible risks to those with mental health problems (capacity issues) and the disabled, however

We are always looking for ways to reduce the overall environmental impact of our productions. The production teams worked hard towards achieving albert sustainable production certification for Prue & Danny's Death Road Trip.

If we really want to protect vulnerable people at the end of their lives, we need to give them choice over how they die.

I like to watch programmes like this to see both sides of the argument:
maybe my mind will be changed?

Nope, I will always be on the side of and assisted dying needs to be legalised in the UK and nothing can convince me otherwise. Dignity in Dying

.Prue Leith supports assisted dying. Her son, @Danny__Kruger, is against it. Can a transatlantic trip, meeting people on both sides of the debate, resolve their differences?

Prue and Danny's Death Road Trip airs Thursday 16th February at 9pm on Channel 4.

Exactly. Even he could see the hypocrisy in his stance.
I'd support it for my loved ones. But not anyone else 🤷🏼‍♀️

's Death Road Trip was a very interesting watch on legalising assisted dying.
Didn't sway me away from all the dangers involved in such a move but was very well done. Worth a watch...

Why even in death do others feel they have the right to tell someone what is right for them, is right for someone else. Let people make their own choice, that is surely the right everyone should have.

Great to see constituents speaking out. I suspect that many more are not aware that their local MP is at odds with their views and uses his platform as an MP to advance his own personal religious agenda

When we are ill and suffering we can ask medics to withdraw life-sustaining treatment. They must follow our wishes, even tho they know we will die. So why can’t we ask them to provide medication that has the same effect? MyDeath, MyDecision
