We are executing the #MetturLIS in TN. It will help revive & refill 100 #waterbodies in the State. We have completed the #pipeline laying & hydro testing for 34 km. #Pumphouses 2 & 3 are getting ready for commissioning.

In link 1 there are 28 pumps at 3 pumphouses to lift water by 123 meters at 23166 Cusecs(11000 Cusecs/day = 1 TMC). The total they required for these 3 pumphouses is 1120MW. These 3 pump houses have to lift 180tmc. In a year all pumps have to operate for 2000 hours(Approx). 4/n

Link 5 doesn't have any lifts so no power consumption.
Cost of link 6 is Rs 41.76 crs
Cost of link 7 is Rs 186.76 crs
Overall power consumption of all pumphouses of KLIP is 4890MW. Considering all the pumps will work for 2000 hours(Approx)

The Total cost will be 5672 Crores. 6/n

Had a great afternoon with the finalyear Elsenburg B-agric students,they visited our production units, pumphouses and ended with a packhouse visit, nice to see our the new generation of farmers and the pasion they have for agriculture
