On Sunday I travelled to RSPB Frampton Marsh π with RSPB England Sheffield local group. We had an absolutely fantastic day out, especially great as the first bird I photographed was this cuckoo in flight straight after breakfast in their lovely cafe! Big thanks to staff and volunteers π¦
Nice to find Barney today Jonathan Fowler just south of RSPB Frampton Marsh π . Absolutely smashed the BTO ringing longevity record. He was ringed as a chick on 13th June 2007, so is nearly 17 years old. He's outlived at least four wives, and he and current one have 4 eggs.
Last hurrah before work tomorrow. Where better than RSPB Frampton Marsh π
