Following an historic wet winter, the lower #Sacramentoriver is flowing at 5,000cfs, almost 50% of it diverted upstream. Not good for the fish or boat drivers out there, watch out for logs!
The #SacramentoRiver in Redding above the Highway 44 bridge is opened for fishing today for the first time since April 1st. The closure, which occurs every year, is in place to protect winter-run Chinook salmon that were spawning in the area.
