As Mouse says #FontsMeanFarwell what of #StMichaelWilsford ? The church was so sensitively rebuilt C19 (yes the chancel-nave was rebuilt) that many if not most Romanesque features have been preserved including a fine tower arch. It's thumbs up from Mouse. Should that be paw?

A closeup of the C17 #StMichaelWilsford font. It is very cleanly cut. Look at the arris. The limestone carries striations which may simply be the tooling but equally could be decorative. Horizontal except for the square moulding around the rim which is vertical. #FontsOnFriday
