On the morning of 20th April 1912, Olympic ( #Titanic 's sister) called at Plymouth. It's her first port of call since the sinking of Titanic, her sister ship, five days earlier. Her flags can be seen flying at half mast.

On 28th April 1912, at 8 AM, the SS Lapland, carrying the 167 crew members of the #Titanic who had been able to leave New York, dropped anchor in Cawsand Bay off Plymouth. The tender Sir Richard Grenville then took the crew back to Plymouth harbour.

On the morning of 21st April 1912, Mackay-Bennett began recovering the bodies of the #Titanic 's victims. That day, 51 bodies were recovered. Some were brought back to Halifax and others were buried at sea.

19th April 1912, at 12.00 pm, a Memorial Service took place at St. Paul's Cathedral in #London for the victims of the sinking of the #Titanic . About 10,000 people were present.

13th May 1912, Montmagny returns to #Halifax . Due to bad weather, the ship found a buoy and only 4 bodies including a crew member of #Titanic , buried at sea. Once in #Halifax , she collected coal supplies and returned to the North Atlantic to continue the search.
