Another longtime favorite, based on his UCLA short film “Electronic Labyrinth: THX 1138 4EB” from 1967, this is THX 1138 from 1971 directed and cowritten by George Lucas.

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

My favorite film by the late Robert Altman, filmed in 1969, M*A*S*H. An amazing cast, and incredible music score, always a nice watch. Loved the series of course but this film also stands on its own.

Gotta tip my hat to Joanna Pflug and the late Sally
