In Jerusalem, I met with some of the peacekeepers who serve in #UNTSO . Earlier, on the Golan, I also met with some of their military observers #ServingForPeace . I am grateful for their commitment and professionalism in these challenging times.

Major Andrew Moses had the opportunity to honour fallen ADF peacekeeper, Captain Peter McCarthy, at an event commemorating the UNTSO 75th anniversary. Captain McCarthy was killed by a landmine during a routine patrol on his deployment in 1988.🕊️ #YourADF

Op het hoofdkantoor van UNTSO in Jeruzalem sprak ik met Nederlands militaire en civiel personeel over hun werk bij de internationale missies UNTSO en USSC. Zij vertelden hoe het conflict in Gaza op bijvoorbeeld de Westelijke Jordaanoever hun werkzaamheden beïnvloedt.

At UNTSO HQ in Jerusalem, I spoke with Dutch military and civilian personnel about their contribution to the international UNTSO and USSC missions. They described how the conflict in Gaza affects their work in, for example, the West Bank.

Today, in UN Disengagement Observer Force observation posts, I witnessed the important work of #UNTSO military observers serving in UNDOF. These women and men who come from all over the world contribute to its mandate implementation and the supervision of the Disengagement Agreement.

Just arrived in the Middle East to visit the three UN Peacekeeping missions in the region: UN Disengagement Observer Force, then UNIFIL and UNTSO. Today, I started meeting the peacekeepers of UN Disengagement Observer Force. I look forward to exchanging more with the women and men #ServingForPeace . #A4P

Together with Generaal Onno Eichelsheim I visited Dutch military personnel deployed to #UNTSO and #UNIFIL . In Israel I also spoke with minister יואב גלנט - Yoav Gallant, civil society organisation Breaking the Silence and members of the IDF.
