I’d be concerned too little mate.

Normally masters of camouflage, I readily located these 3 Tawnies perched in a near leafless Golden Ash. Had I had been a tad earlier, they’d have been fully illuminated by the setting Sun. Oh well!

Barking Owl at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park, Queensland.
This is not a wild bird. It's one of the stars of the Birds of Prey show which features rescued birds.

Meet Aang the Quoll!
At 1.65kg, he's one of the heftier chuditch we translocated to Mt Gibson this year. Here, I'm releasing him back into the wild after a quick check-up yesterday. He was looking very healthy and has even gained some weight since we first caught him πŸ˜€.

Mammal Monday.
A fearsome sight (if you’re an insect) – the fat-tailed pseudantechinus is a marsupial that hunts for insects at night in rocky habitat in central Australia.
Their tails are filled with fat that acts as a backup food supply.Β

Thursday Birdsday
The southern whiteface (Aphelocephala leucopsis) is a small, finch-like bird commonly seen in arid regions.
They mostly eat insects and arthropods but will also eat seeds and leaves, sometimes joining large mixed-species flocks.
