I think many climate hawks sorta gave up on Our Children's Trust after they sued the EPA last year.

But their original federal suit, Juliana vs US, was even more ridiculous. Why did so many environmental orgs support it? Why does nobody seem to care it was dismissed (again)?

In June 2023, Our Children’s Trust along with 24 young people and @Oxfaminternational submitted an Amicus Curiae Brief in this case, calling on the Tribunal to base its opinion on the best scientific evidence – to halt GHG emissions to preserve our oceans for all humanity.

The lawyers Our Children's Trust argue that b/c global atmospheric concentrations of CO2 are above 350ppm (an especially bullshit threshold), the *entire US energy system is unconstitutional.*

And according to petitions/amicus briefs, the ~entire environmental movement agrees.
