#ThickTrunkTuesday : The tallest Ghost Gum (Corymbia aparrerinja) stands proudly on the lands of the Eastern Arrernte people, near Alherrkentye/Trephina Gorge.

At 33m, it is taller than the typical Ghost Gum maximum by 13m!

Ghost Gum is known to the Arrernte as ilwempe.

We acknowledge the Arrernte people, the traditional custodians of Mparn­twe country, the land of Alice Springs, and pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
