As a Jew who helped organize this union, I've been immensely proud of the solidarity they've shown and will surely continue to show for Palestine 🇵🇸

Without commenting on what the union said or didn’t say because I don’t know & honestly don’t really care either, this is why it’s a stupid to expect every organization to Put Out A Statement like you’re the fucking state department when you have no chance whatsoever of an impact

We need more Practical , “undertaking the work of incremental policy reform.” As without this focus, “the most vulnerable among us would continue to suffer with little pathway to inclusion or autonomy. We can & must do better.” By Ari Ne'eman:

Investments in social change take time to bear fruit. Funders need to think in terms of decades, not years.

Literally last night we voted to send two resolutions condemning anti-semitism and islamophobia to membership-wide vote. I will now spend countless hours putting together & administering this vote for people who went ahead and just quit as soon as the meeting was over.

Ari Ne'eman manvir singh Ira Eidle Sara Luterman The New Yorker So nice to meet you! Thank you for weighing in. As an editor myself, I wonder if this part is muddling things, because it could convey:

-Aspies failed
-ASAN made the best of it

The considerations in this paper are miles away from where ethics committees are in approving autism research and interventions, especially those looking at behaviourist approaches.

The gap needs to close and harms better understood. A very good paper.

'Despite neurodiversity’s cultural currency, we have won surprisingly few shifts in autism service-provision and research, the primary areas the movement emerged to target.'
