TB PREVALENCE IN CATTLE HAS NOT REDUCED
The Save Me Trust is still saying that badger culling has not produced a reduction in the prevalence of bovine TB in cattle. Why? Ignorance? Deceit? Laziness? Ability to plot data? Lack of trust in APHA? My ability to plot graphs?

Jedd Hayward Protect the Wild Some farmers have already been on that road. In the first 10 cull zones in the 5 years from 2016 to 2021 the number of cattle herds with confirmed TB have plummeted from 317 to 87. This is highly encouraging for farmers who have been paying cull companies to remove badgers.

Bergehetzer DefraStats Yes the % of cattle herds confirmed to be infected have been reducing for a number of years in worst infected counties. However in Devon this reducing trend may have stopped in 2021. Many badgers were removed in 2016. Not so in more recent years.

A bovine TB-free future in 10 years' time in Derbyshire would be a huge undertaking, but is achievable if policy is ‘led by science and not politics'. That was the message from the FG round table, hosted by Chief Reporter Rachael Brown

Lucy BADGER CULLING REDUCES TB
Data supplied by APHA shows that the no of herds with confirmed TB after culling started in 2016 in 7 of the first 10 cull zones plummeted from 317 to 87. This is good news for landowners who paid cull companies to remove badgers from their land.

John O Gaunt The Save Me Trust APHA The Save Me Trust's priority is to stop badger culls rather than reduce bovine TB. I believe this is wrong as it perpetuates the problem. That can be argued. However knowingly making false statements is plain wrong. It misleads those seeking a better awareness and causes harm.
