This group of unnamed women are Women's Land Army workers (c1914 - 1918, ref: Acc 6338/10). We know they are all from the Standon Parish under the leadership of Mrs Violet Chapman.

In 1956 two #LandRovers went on an #Expedition from #London to #Singapore . The expedition was made to test the vehicles and it was all captured on film, which became part of our #Archive . We've edited together some clips from it to show here.

This piece of #Art was part of a #Donation to our #Archive from earlier this year and depicts the #Foundry at the #Austin Motor Company #Factory in #Longbridge . It was made by an apprentice #Engineer during his time at the factory in 1958.
