I guess yellow is the colour most associated with Easter, but any excuse to post a few more photos of Yellowhammers in the Vale of Glamorgan, this time in sunshine! #BirdsSeenIn2024 #glambirds #birdphotography #birdwatching #Nikon

Firecrest seem to be having a good autumn. One of three below Penarth Head, Cardiff Bay this morning #glambirds #CardiffBay
Willow tit at Nelson Wern this morning knocking around with a coal tit. Haven't visited for 7+ years, great to see there's still at least one there. #glambirds
After brief views of Yellow-browed Warbler & Bittern, a morning in the half light and drizzle at Kenfig Pool also produced my first Teal & Jay of the year. Stars of the show however were two cracking male Firecrests that showed superbly as I made my way back to the car #glambirds
Brilliant morning at Kenfig with 5 Spoonbills heading north over the pool, Wheatears showing well at Sker. Also Marsh Harrier, Lesser Whitethroat, Common Sandpiper, Fox and loads of Gadwall and Whimbrels moving through. 58 Species total. #glambirds
Enjoyed a short session with the Cardiff Black Redstart this week. What a little Beauty he was. Was a little annoyed though that there were drone surveys being carried out on the building, despite the fact that breeding season is well on the way and Pegs were present.. #glambirds
Among the 25 curlew at the Watermill this morning was this colour ringed bird previously seen in Porthcawl in November by Mike Pugh #glambirds
2 teams of Ruddy Turnstones enjoying a log race at Sluice Farm on this morningโs high tide #glambirds
A few from my last couple of visits to Aberthaw and great to see the Firecrest again this morning. #glambirds
