Mystery bird seen from the shepherd's hut WWT Slimbridge today - right at the back of the reed bed, hence the grainy photos. Can anyone help us to identify it? Beak looks too long for a reed bunting, but head too dark for a reed warbler.

A great quick visit today to Slimbridge and a walk out to Middle point. Bluethroat showed as well as it does, but star performer was a Short eared Owl which quartered up and down the sea wall and reed beds. A flock of 6 DB Brent’s on the Dumbles and 3 Whimbrel over.
