The last time I saw In Flames was when they toured with Trivium a decade ago? This was my 10th time seeing them live though and they still put on a hell of a show. They played 18 songs, and a great mix of classics and newer stuff.

Afternoon spin - Insomnium - Winter’s Gate

It’s been over a year since I revisited Winter’s Gate, & I bought the reissue a few months ago. It just felt like the perfect afternoon album to relax with while I finish sewing the last few patches on my jacket. Reveal is coming soon!

Didn’t expect to like this so much. Sludge metal is usually not my favorite, but this is very dissonant sounding sludge and the vocal stylings are a mix of death metal and hardcore, though not what I’d consider deathcore haha. It’s interesting and good.
