HCR2001 passed the House 46-14. The Arizona Freedom Team members Jones and McGarr (LD-17) voted no to lifting the AEL cap. MUSD is the 3rd largest employer in Marana and NOT lifting the AEL would have catastrophic consequences for kids, employees, and families.

The Arizona House of Representatives today approved my legislation to raise the AEL this year, so our schools can fully access the funds that the Legislature already appropriated for them. Here's my statement on why passing #HCR2001 was so important for rural schools.

AZ House just passed HCR2001 to protect students and teachers from racial discrimination! Huge step forward to stop CRT in schools.

Today at the #AZLeg HB2284 (school takeover bill), HCR2001 (anti-truthful teaching bill) &SB1211 (teacher attack bill) were held in committee.
