Preparation began in 1986, with the Archive officially opening in 1991. Today, the Archive is home to 30,000 cans of film, 15,000 tapes, 7,500 digital files, 25,000 documents, 10,000 stills, 4,000 books, 200 objects, and 1 Oscar! #IFIArchive The Heritage Council
