#IlTrittico is Barrie Kosky’s final piece of his #Puccini trilogy De Nationale Opera, and conceptually & execution-wise the weakest. Similar sets for 3 one-acts, but getting darker&darker. #IlTabarro relies on poverty drama, no false #Paris romantic, and horror ending.

Finally, #GianniSchicchi Buñuel-esque comedy of mean-spirited creatures. Barrie Kosky at his best here, in precise timing, dark humor&physical comedy. #IlTrittico De Nationale Opera worth it 4 orchestral finesse & some moments of brilliant ideas. Overall too plain by Kosky standards.
