Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, this ~1700m high Seamount (4 x height Empire State Building) appeared where existing low-res grid = flat!

These data support our research program & will be submitted to Seabed 2030.

The 'big-finned jellyhead' octopus Cirroteuthis aff. muelleri playing in among a rock avalanche deposit at 5800m in the Central Pacific Ocean. It is the third time we've come across this species in the last 2 weeks.
