No wish to reignite the whole 'Instapoetry' argument, but I think I see now why much of what is generally branded this way meets with derision or dismissal by 'proper' poets. The common thread seems to be that all such poetry is a bad/weak/lazy attempt at writing pithy aphorism.

my writing club once looked at instapoetry like this and we wrote joke poems with this same structure (he didn’t like ______ and i was ________). mine was “he didn’t like diarrhea and i was iced coffee”.
