Pre-surgery smiles 🤍
Our girl is out of surgery to repair her abdominal wall/close her Omphalocele. One of the biggest surgeries she’s had since she was born, we’ve prepared 10 years for this. Recovery will be a rough one, but we’ve got this 💪🏻🤍

Omphalocele is a rare congenital abdominal wall defect. Some babies have omphalocele because of a change in their genes/chromosomes. During pregnancy, there are screening tests to check for birth defects & prenatal counseling for families affected with these genetic conditions.

When Tiffany Morris was twenty weeks pregnant, her doctor delivered some scary news: her unborn baby had an abdominal wall defect called an omphalocele. Dr. Brad Warner took care of her baby, named Blair, when it was time for surgery: stlouischildrens.org/health-resourc… STLChildrensHospital
