Lions are expert hunters and can use the barest of cover to totally conceal themselves from potential prey. Lions can cover over 100m in under six seconds at full pace. They are Africas largest carnivore and are considered the only social of all the big cats.

This was a sighting one doesn’t get to see all too often. Expert guide Gareth Poole came across the lion pride on a kudu carcass with the elephants very close by.
