Today I spoke on a panel about #PeriodPoverty and #PeriodStigma here in the US with the United Nations Association. I wore this shirt. #EndTheStigma College age women don’t even know about their bodies and are ashamed of periods. That is unacceptable.

💪 Gave out 50 sets of reusable sanitary towels to rural girls.
💪 Trained 5 senior women teachers in 5 different rural schools on how best to support young girls to overcome #periodstigma

We commend Gloria Orwoba for standing tall to demonstrate what our Students, low-income and homeless women and girls, transgender and nonbinary individuals, and those who are currently imprisoned struggle with period poverty.
