We got together last weekend to plant around 420 saplings on the scrub land behind Balvonie Street, already owned by residents.
They were received from the Woodland Trust🌳 after Rachel and Pete sent in a successful application through the #QueensGreenCanopy scheme The Queen's Green Canopy

In late November, His Majesty The King was accompanied by the Lord Lieutenants of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk to plant the 100th sapling creating a new area of woodland pasture on the Estate for @queensgreencanopy

More than 40 lime trees have been planted in the parkland to recreate an avenue identified on a 1766 map. It runs from Old Lodge to the northern boundary of the estate and is part of the #QueensGreenCanopy , a #TreePlanting initiative to mark the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen.

This morning we had the pleasure of supporting the Friends of Sholver Millennium Green plant their #queensgreencanopy Jubilee Trees.
