I'm still trying to get back into the regular posting mindset. Today, this cover by Jordi Penalva jumped out at me when I stumbled across it. It has a great Sword & Planet vibe, which isn't a good fit for this collection of Dickson short stories. Great cover, though.

I've posted RPG art in the past, & recently stumbled across my copy of this game. The cover art by Stephen Daniele is beautifully pulpy. One look at the cover tells you exactly what the game is about. Pity Exile Games is dead. But we can still enjoy the game's art.

At the dawn of his amazing career, Michael Whelan painted this cover for Keith Laumer's novel, & it's kickass. I mean, dinosaurs and girls with guns? Hell yes! As a big fan of Laumer's work, I'm chagrinned to admit I haven't read this one yet. I'll rectify that soon!

Series favorite Emsh painted this cover for the May '62 issue. I assume it's for Blish's story. The cover babe draws our attention with her looks and fearful backward gaze. Does she fear the man? The spear-wielding creature? Something else? I'd drop 40¢ to find out.

Series favorite Ed Emshwiller painted this cover for a Poul Anderson story. At first glance this doesn't have any of Emsh's odd, 'futuristic' headwear. But the version sans typography shows the man in the background wearing such a hat. Emsh, you were so predictable.
